been trying to get him out for several months now.. no luck. came down stairs in the morning to find a cracked shell and the mantis chomping away...

I will get him though, on a mission now even if i have to haul 150# of rock from the tank!!

Thanks for the clampements.

I am worried about the tear drop because the foot came off in shipping. So far (after a few days) the clam seems okay. Anyone had any experience with loosing a clam foot?

I had a Deresa loose a foot and it came back fine. Not sure what the success rate is % wise but all hope is not lost:)

My tear drop has done that twice....He has been fine both times so I don't think it's a big deal if they do it, but if we rip it of then it is a differant story.

I found 4 Crocea from my LFS and all of them the foot came off in shipping.
I put them on rock's and 24-36 hour after they have fasten on the rocks again.

Some days later I have problem to take them off again.

For me it was 100% success:)
