this camouflage colored crocea has been in my tank for a couple months now. love this guy...

I just ordered in a new crocea. I got him from happy as a clam and I am so impressed. The first picture is of him in the catch bucket then all three of my crocea's then my baby gigas.

4 1/2" crocea sitting about 12 inches away from the 250w 10K

Same dude looking from above with no actinic supplementation.

5 1/2" Tridacna maxima, 12 inches from the halide, no actinics.

Little 3" baby Ultra maxima, middle of the tank, shot taken at an angle , so it's a little refracted.....

Big Daddy Crocea, 6" all the way bottom of the tank, so I can enjoy his pattern. It doesn't sit on sand or rock, just on the Glass!

Teardrop maxima clam nestled between the humilis and tricolor, he's about 3"

This pic is from a year ago and the clam is probably 6" bigger and has now taken up 1/4 of my tank. The tank is 6' long and 30" deep.

Yessongs we had a blue neon goby that sat on our blue clam just like that. We took the goby out and put him in the sump because the clam was getting stressed out and bleached edges. It was wierd because it was only the blue (derasa? LFS didn't know) and never seemed to sit on the gold teardrop maxima. When we put him in the sump he took to sitting on the blue cover on the top of the submersible heater. Using available camoflage I suppose.
