If you have a engineer goby, please show em! Would like to see how large they can get. I love these fish!

Mine is at least 8-10 inches. I'm on vacation now but if I remember I'll post a picture when I get home. Very cool fish!

I had one for about 2 years that was about 10" long before he jumped :(

My new one is about 6" long and i've had him for about 6 months. They are awesome fish! When i get home, i'll try and get a pic of my new one.

My lfs had 2 that came from somebodies big tank, they were both about 15" or more, REALLY BIG!

Not the best in the world but when he is all the way out he is in the 10-12 range

yeah sorry i have no pics either. i use to have about 8 of them, really great fish. MY LFS had them in their display tank, id say 16+ inches, i use to think they were reef safe eels!

Awesome Pics! I 'd like to add a few more in mine. I only have one and he's about 6'' to 7'' or so. How many more would i be able to fit in a 85? Hopefully someone has a group shot! Keep em comin!

triggerman, is your fully matured? Mine so far looks alot like nauticac4, not alot of marking around the head area, and the stripes are just starting to turn vertical.

I would think he is . He hasn't grown any for a few years now. he eats like a beast though. as far as the sand bed mine is only about an inch. i will say make sure your rockwork is stable because they love to move the gravel out and around!

He thought it all needed to be shoved up in this corner that day!

Ha, thats pretty much all your gonna see of mine as well.

Mine is 14 years old now and about 13" long. I got him all old a wrinkly from someones tank breakdown. they had him for 9 years when I got him.

he is very shy though, and doesnt come out much besides for food. But when He does he scares the crap out of people:D No one seems to expect a foot long fish to be hiding in a 58g tank.

My only beef with him is that if I dont glue down frags he likes to take them, but other then that he is one of my favorite fish.

Wow, it amazes me how long our fishes can live when given the proper environment to live in. Looking forward to this guy getting large. Tooks some pics btw, will try to post it up tonight after work.

They are very very tough fish, mine survived an entire tank draining, found him curled up under a rock in a 1/2 inch of water. I redisigned my new system to allow for burrowers like him, eggcrate siliconed to the bottom glass, rocks on the eggcrate and 3 inches at least of sand. He is only 5in or so and just getting his stripes, he has at least 4 burrow openings now.
