Not my stand but IMO one of the most beautiful stands ever built. Simple, but just beautiful. Check out the guys build here.

WOW!!! That Sassafras is incredible! I love the natural look. I used an ebony macassar veneer on the stand for a 20" Reef Savvy cube I had several years ago. I'm about to setup a 180g and really want to use an ebony macassar veneer on that stand, that I still need to build, but probably won't because of the cost of that veneer.

thanks!

thanks!

It is Birch plywood and Birch trim Gel Stained.
Pictures are hard to capture the grain in the wood.

OMG! Thanks for answering!! I looked through the whole photoshop album so I saw what I could. It looks amazing! I'm seriously going to work hard to base mine off of yours. I don't know what Gel Stained means, but I'll figure it out! Thanks for answering! Feel free to give me any more secrets and tips to making one as gorgeous as that!!

Oh yes, blackheart sassafras has such a beautiful grain and color to it. The same goes for ebony macassar. I'd love to build a stand like that :) Exotic woods really vamp up the price but if you can afford it...it just makes all the difference.

That might literally be the most beautiful stand I've ever seen. wow.
My thoughts exactly :)

Not sure if this is considered fancy but here is my homemade stand from rough cut cherry wood.
