It is Birch plywood and Birch trim Gel Stained.This is EXACTLY what I want my stand to look like! clean but not too boring! Is that just painted plywood??

Pictures are hard to capture the grain in the wood.
WOW!!! That Sassafras is incredible! I love the natural look. I used an ebony macassar veneer on the stand for a 20" Reef Savvy cube I had several years ago. I'm about to setup a 180g and really want to use an ebony macassar veneer on that stand, that I still need to build, but probably won't because of the cost of that veneer.
