Show Me your XM lit Tanks Please

The Specialist :)
Hello Guys,

I have currently a 45G Marineland Cube with a 250 Watt Single ended Halide over it. I just ordered a 20k XM bulb since i currently running a 10k Ushio on it and need some blue in the tank :fish1:

I am keeping 90% SPS and will just run the 20k with no additional lighting over my Cube tank. Can you guys show me some pics of your tanks with the XM bulb and also how you like the bulb?

Thanks in advance,
Henry :lolspin:

I don't run XM but I like the visual color comparison of this page:

A lot of more bulb choice and PAR can be found here: Cnidarianreef Lamp Tests. One of my favorite lighting site.

Very nice, I will be running mine off an electronic ballast so i heard it will be a little more blue. Anyone else?

My tank this month running (2) 250w DE XM bulbs. My favorite bulb by far ! I run a galaxy select-a-watt e-ballast. I run it most of the time on the 250w setting, instead of the HQI setting.

Lights have cycled off, I will take some photos tomorrow. On the hqi setting, they are very bright white.

Wait I found an older photo with just the mh's and set to hqi. You can see the glare all the way to the bottom of the tank (20" deep).

Well I get my XM 20K bulb today so i cannot wait to check it out. Thanks guys for the input..

I forgot what ballest (m79 ?) But there is a ballest. they recommend to run for the radiums . otherwise they say it shortens. the life of the bulb. that's why I run the xm 's. it is a great bulb
