This has to be one of my favorite softies, and when I get my tank up and running, I would like it to be one of my first pieces, but would love to see some pictures you all have of yours!

One of my favorites as well.

Very nice stool ghOst! Hey, wait a minute that did not sound right! Had one years ago when I first started keeping corals but it only lasted a few weeks. I recently tried again with a Tyree and a more common brown variety. I definitely want to find a yellow fiji leather now.
here is a pic of my Tyree and the fiji I used to have

They do like more flow and light than most toad stool leathers, but give them that and they go crazy.

Also, try not to touch them if at all possible. They bruise super easily, and often get bacterial infections, and break down afterward.

DON'T THINK ABOUT GETTING A FIJI YELLOW!!!

...

GET ONE!!!

...

One of the more dramatic leathers. I have a bout 15 or so leathers, and the Fiji Yellows (I have four) are among the most beautiful.

I agree that many things sold as Fiji Yellows are just NOT Fiji Yellows. When you see a real one, particularly a nice specimen, it is a sight that is not easily forgotten.

I am not sure if I will get in trouble for posting this, but...it is either Aquarium Specialty or Premium Aquatics that I got one of mine from. OH MY!!! It is literally metallic yellow. Much softer texture than many leathers (more closely resembling a flexibilis than a sinularia). Absolutely one of the best specimens I have ever cared for. It quickly became obvious what a quality Fiji Yellow is. I have acquired a few of these, but NONE compare to this critter. NOTE: Please be careful if you go try to order one of these from whoever I got this one from...THE SHIPPING WAS UNREAL...$85 or some astronomical amount...AND THE SITE DOESN'T MENTION THIS UNTIL AFTER YOU CHECK OUT (someone emailed me the final cost, and I was dumbfounded). However, if you can stomache the shipping abnormality, they have a truly awesome Fiji Yellow. In hindsight, I would say the Fiji turned out to be more impressive than anything I had set out to purchase from them, and ALMOST made me feel okay about the shipping cost.

Sorry, but I don't have pictures of the critter. Just save some pennies and get a real one...Trust Me.

I will agree with these statements, without argument.

I will add...watch closely who they are placed next to. They simply don't tolerate stings very well.

Well, I just went to find out where I got the critter in question. Unfortunately, I don't think it was either of the sites I mentioned previously. Perhaps I can locate that information somewhere, and post it. Let me see what I can do.

Well, sorry folks. I got it from a site that is not a RC sponsor. I won't post that information here. If you would like to PM me, I could forward the information.
