Show off your Green Slimer

It could be Acropora aspera, but the branches are quite thin for it to be this coral. A closer inspection of its corallites is necessary to be certain. Here is my Acropora aspera for comparison:

In the following picture, the coral on the right is Acropora yongei, whereas the coral on the left is Acropora aspera. Notice that Acropora aspera looks significantly "chunkier" than Acropora yongei. Some say that strong flow causes this coral to develop thick branches. To appreciate the difference one really needs to inspect the corallites of both corals when the polyps are fully closed.

You have some gorgeous clams.

Very cool Colinm822, I never realized how many coral could be easily mistaken for slimers. I really like the thinner growth tips on that Lime in the Sky. I will be keeping my eye out for one to add to my tank. Is that a common name for that coral?

I need to ask my supplier to get me a green slimmer.

Best decision youll ever make:strooper:... Just my opinion of course.

If you are any where near Nebraska I would be glad to give you a frag.

Yes. Tyree lime in the sky. One of my favorite corals. Difficult to tell but the body is sky blue.

Dead center. About 12-14" tall and can not fit in a 5 gallon bucket now.

Very nice Chris Lakies, that rock work is awesome. Did you cut all that rock yourself? And how did you get that one to float on the back glass?

Thank you very much! I ordered flat pieces from Marco Rocks. I broke them to the size i wanted and then used the Marco rock cement to put them together.

The piece on the back is a ceramic rock with magnets embedded in it. Can't remember who makes them at this moment.
