Show off your Rarest/Most Colorful SPS corals

Ya know after looking at it a little, it doesn't look like echinata at all..
Too thick branched. I had a tenuis that looked a bit like that. I think it was called German blue tenuis..
Who knows... It still looks like the yummiest candy I ever saw!!

This is my favorite:bum:but it sure took its time growing. Got a piece in 2006 just sat around looking small sad and ugly for years, moved it all over the tank trying to get the sweet spot. Now it's blowing up !! So glad I didn't give up on it and toss it.

WoW .... 9 yrs ! I thought purple monster was a slow grower.

The first picture is 1 1/2 years ago so it's growing fast now. When the coral arrived in 06 2 of my friends and I went to the store and we each picked a small wild colony at $30 and I picked this one . We would split each coral into 3 large frags and get 3 different corals each for $30 those days are long gone. One friends piece grew fast and beautiful and the other friends piece died. Mine was growing but not fast or coloring much . After Colin started to frag his and gave a few frags away every piece died and his small colony also died so I was the last one with a small ugly colony.

I cut my friend a nice piece because he did have the most success with it and those also died and I was left with a very small frag. But because I knew what it could become there was no way I would ever give up on this coral. In Oct. I sold 2 big frags at coralcon Orlando to a father and son that asked me what coral they should buy. I am going to let it grow for another year before I frag it again.
