Would be interesting to see some pics of REALY rare species (fish/inverts/corals), including your experience with them. I am very excited about it ...

well thats right :) that happens if people take me litteraly :)
May I change to "not common" - reads better

Saw this guy at an LFS and was thoroughly intrigued. Called a Scorpionfish.

Lady thank you for breaking the ice. That is truely an unusual scorpion. Any infos on what type it is?

Emu - you are absolutely correct. Sorry no pictures from my tank - not there yet

Lady - looks like Rhinopias frondosa. Very rare in stores it seems. Price 220 EURO (prox. 300 US)

Yes, the store owner told me they are quite rare and quite expensive (and he was not to keen on sharing the expense of his particular fish :) )

I don't know too much about it, just fell in love with the mystery of it and begged for a picture :D Maybe someday I will have a tank I can keep one in - and the guts to spend hundreds of dollars on a fish!

Thanks guy.

Here is a painful one -- lost this when I tried to introduce a Purple (( also a rare color morph )) S. Haddoni -- it had an "infection and took out this one. :(

My red-mouthed, pink tipped elegance. There are certainly red-mouther elegances around, but not typically with pink tips.

unbelievable - thanks so much for sharing. I will use your pics for my xmas cards this year if I may :9)

Oh yes, my REVERS Strawberry Shortcake. Never seen one before I got a hold of it and no one I know has seen it either. So, I THINK it's uncommon:
