Showing submission?

Alright so I got a couple of clowns after my tank cycles. They were about the same size. Now one is a bit bigger then the other, however the bigger one is showing signs of submission. Every once in a while the smaller one will swim up to the bigger one and the bigger one will start to spaz out and vibrate itself. If I've read right, that is a sign of submission and the first step to 'pairing' correct?

They sleep together every night, sometimes even on top of each other :)

Odd, usually the smaller one is male and shows submission by quivvering in it's side. Someone else said their larger clown showed this behavior also. You may already know but since you didn't mention, the larger is the female and the smaller is the male, she is incharge and will let the male know from time to time. As long as they are getting along/sleeping together looks like they are on their way to becoming a pair. You should read up on pairing, you will know more about what to look for. good luck

When I say one is bigger, you've really got to stare at them for a while to notice the size difference. But the submissive clown is definitely a bit bigger.

And yes they sleep together every night, during the day however they are not always so close.
