shrimp and goby

how do you get the pistol shrimp to live with a watchman goby? does one have to be in the tank before the other?

You can add them at any time, they instinctually know to pair up as long as you get the right type, there are a lot of pistol shrimps that don't pair up. I have a Pink-spotted with 2 tiger pistols, Yasha with a randalli pistol, and a pair of orange-spots with a tiger pistol. Only the orange-spots and the tiger where added at the same time.

Just add them to the tank. They should pair up on there own.
