Shrimp Behavior

Noticed that the cleaner shrimp in my tank is quite bold and will try to clean your hand if you put your hand in the tank to move something. I guess it makes sense since it cleans fish.

Are there other common reef shrimp that are as bold in the home acquarium setting?

My cleaner goby cleans my arm often. I actually pulled him out of the water once not aware that he was on me.

Shrimp... such marvelous creatures! I have peppermints and fire shrimp who will also hop on my hand for a ride. They have the ability to associate hand with food pretty quickly and you can train them to some extent.

I think the cleaner shrimp is the most entertaining. Mine is much bolder than the peppermints that only peek out when food is around.

In case you didn't catch the sarcasm, a mantis shrimp is not entertaining unless you really think it's fun to loose a finger. Nasty buggers, those.
