Shrimp catching

Is it possible to catch a large(coral banded) shrimp with a fish trap? this guy, as probably most shrimp do, doesn't come out very often, but some of my smaller fish keep disappearing, and he seems to be the most likely culprit.

I just get my hand, corner him, and scoop him up.. only got pinched 6 times

But it might fall for the trap if it's big enough and placed close to it's home.

I'd look for some other reason for the fish disappearing. Bc it's not the shrimp. I have 3 of them in the same sized tank for 4 months and 2 of them came over from my 125 gal. I've had them for a couple of years.
Never had that problem The only problem is them attacking each other.Currently one of the 3 has no claws. lol
That being said.If you are determined to get it out. Get a couple of big nets and corral him. That's how I caught mine.

Don't really want to get rid of it, but heard when they get large they might kill small fish if they get a chance. does anyone know how long and how large they get?

On the advice of someone on this forum I built a trap using a pop bottle. It catches shrimp very easily and safely. Just cut the top off and invert it.
