Shrimp/ crab compatability...

I'm in the process of seting up a 40 gal. (48x12 base size) and would like opinions on setting it up as an invert tank. Is there a website that mentions which inverts are compatable with each other? The only fish I would be keeping in the tank would be two Occy Clowns ans a Wheelers Watchman Goby.

Some of the inverts I'd like to keep are"
Skunk cleaner (already have)
Pepermints (up to 3)
Blood shrrimp
Pistol Shrimp
Coral banded (very aggressive if I understand correctly, may stay away from this)

Porcelain crab
Sally Lightfoot
Emerald Mithrax
Various hermits in my CUC

Maybe a BTA if I can upgrade my lighting...

I have the typical CUC of blue leg and maroon hermits, Astrea and Nassarius snails so I'd like them all to play nice but they don't necessarily need to be reef friendly. Thank you for any info you all can provide. -Steve

I have a 30 with a 20 sump that has the following. No problems at all so far.

1 CBS
1 Tiger pistol
1 Peppermint
1 Skunk cleaner
2 sexy shrimp
1 red mithrax
1 green mithrax
red reef hermits
blue legged hermits
various snails

I've kept a similar mix in the past with no problems. My 90 and 75 have basically the same mix of inverts and again no problems. I do notice my cbs pair doesn't want anything near their den/cave when the female has eggs. Otherwise everyone is ok to hang out near the entrance.

I think the only things that could be a problem would be:
1. Sally Lightfoot
2. Coral Banded Shrimp
3. Maybe the Pistol Shrimp

Sally Lightfoot crabs are pretty safe most of the times, but will catch and eat fish and small shrimp when they get bigger, even if they are well fed. I had one, and it ate all my peppermints, and one of my chromis.

Coral Banded Shrimp are ok, there are different opinions with everyone you ask. Some say they're aggressive to anything, or ok. I say they are pretty safe with mostly everything. I have a large 3 inch one with: (in a 46 gal)
1. Sexy Shrimp
2. Anemone Shrimp
3. Harlequin Shrimp
4. Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
There are more, but you get the idea. And it never ate fish/shrimp unless they were dead. The only aggression I saw, was it chasing the fish and shrimp away because they went into it's territory.

Pistol Shrimps are ok, but I heard they can be dangerous to small shrimp. I think a peppermint could be in danger, but very little since you have a large tank.
