shrinking anemone

I have a green bubble tip anemone and when my lights are on it shrinks up. When the lights are off it is out and extended. Why is this? I thought it wanted the light.

maybe the anemone isnt acclimate with your light?

the anemone has been in the tank 4 months. just my blue leds are on now and its starting to come out

Lighting is the probable issue. Its probably to bright in there for it. What type lights and what size tank? My do that if i do not properly acclimate them to the lighting
