OK so I'm a total noob at this. I'm taking over a marine program at school (which SADLY hasn't even had a live fish or copepod for that matter). I bought a little 10 gallon reef tank from someone very cheaply and am hoping to transfer some of the stuff into it into a 50 gallon tank someone donated (just tank and filter ... nothing else ).
Anyways, there were these 2 "frilly green mushrooms" she called them. They have lost their color and weren't looking good, but are now in my tank at home until August when I'll take them to school. They now seem to be healthy again...but have lost their green except for the tips. What causes that? How can they get their color back? Thanks. Here's the pic. There is one in the middle and one to the right of it. Hopefully I can learn to cut them to make more like I read on another thread and maybe have well...at least have SOMETHING live for my students, lol....ok not funny
WHat can I do to get the green color back?? Thx!
