Shrooms will sometimes emit slime from its mouth when conditions change rapidly. A large water change can cause the puking from the sudden change in water temperature, pH, salinity, etc. If your temp, salinity, lighting, flow and pH are fine the shroom will be ok. They're normally very hard to kill.
Salt mixes also have buffers to help maintain pH. I'd be careful about using additives to correct pH, since a little can go a long way in a 29 gallon tank and would prefer more frequent water changes. Do you have any other corals in your tank?
