Shrunken Mushrooms

On Jan 20 I purchased a shroom rock with 5 or so mid sized mushrooms. For the last 2 days they have been shruken up, and last night the Devil's hand (much older) turned grey and got the waxy coating. It's done that before, but since it happened at the same time as the shrooms I'm wondering if I have a problem.

Any thoughts to if this is a problem?

Water Params
SG 1.024
PH 8.2
Temp 81.2
Alk 9.1
Cal 450
Nitrates - undectable (Aq. Pharm test).

Everything else in the tank is doing well.

Is this something to worry about?

Well I found the (#*$)(#*$)(* problem.

Emerald Green Crab was turning both into his own personal snack bar. Of course he wouldn't go NEAR the bubble algae. This one had a slighly more refined palette.

He was so engrossed in eating the Devil's hand that I picked the entire rock up out of the water and he never let go or quit eating.

There is 'plenty' of algae in the tank. no shortage of food.
