Shut Up!!!

Not to call them out or anything, but I just wonder what the club officer's takes on it was. I don't really know what was expected of them, or what they expected us to expect, but in all fairness, we got... a free standard tour of Seaquarium... Without paying entry (hopefully). Marketing for sure. I just wonder what was expected of it.

OK, I understand the room was not set up as an auditorium. There was no PA system. But it is very annoying and very rude to attend a meeting where the speaker is drowned out by yammering.

I also understand that everyone wants to chat about the latest critter, gadget, issue, tank build or whatever. There should be some time set aside at each meeting for "mingling" and catching up with your bros.

Many folks drove a long way to attend last night's meeting at the Seaquarium, personally I drove from Broward, some from Palm Beach county. Out of respect for the speaker, the club, the other members who are interested in what the speaker is trying to convey... SHUT UP!!!

Thank you

I agree 100%. I was sitting in the front, about 5 feet from Torry and was straining to hear with all the jibber-jabber in the back.

I didn't like how they hurded us into the hot "circle of death" aka the 300,000 gallon reef tank. I tried to go back where the smaller reef tanks were to cool off and was directed back into the "circle of death" and told not to leave the "circle of death" until the feedings were over. Install an industrial fan or something my god! LOL :D

On another note, I really enjoyed the manatee display and presentation. It was very interesting and entertaining.

I think that was the largest turnout for a meeting in a while.

Thanks

-Matthew
