Shutting down a Closed Loop......

What does everyone think of shutting down a closed loop pump at night? This will help save energy, but also cause the water within the loop to go stagnant for extended periods of time. Just wondering if anyone has done this and what problems it might cause.

If you have a controller just have it come on periodically throughout the night.. Maybe for 2 minutes every hour.

If you don't have a controller, now the time's to get one!

Turning your pump on and off is tough on it. Its better to just keep it on. Stagnant water would be also a concern. Any time water is stagnant its not good.
