Sick anemones

I have two small anemones in my 90g who have stopped eating. They are about the size of a dime. They move around the rocks, but the tentacles no longer extend and won't accept food. I'm not sure what sort they are but I think they could be BTAs. They are white (always have been since I bought the tank).

My two other anemones (one BTA and one RBTA, both much larger) are healthy and eat regularly

Any advice how to get them eating / healthy again?

Thanks

Martin

Seems odd that you have two healthy BTAs and two BTAs that are bleached and sound as if they are on the decline in the same tank. If your lighting was insuffienct all anemones would be effected and same goes with problems with parameters. Maybe they are so sm. that they do not have enough zooxanthellae to adequately met their nutritional needs. And healthy and happy anemones usually do not move around much, if their needs are being met.

They sound pretty bad, bleached and shrunken, but anything can happen with anemones. If they do not improve quickly yes they will most likely die, sorry. I still have to wonder though why your other anemones are doing well and these doing badly, when they are in the same tank. If they will not eat than all you can do is increase their lighting.
