I have an Australian green moon brain that has been in my aquarium for nearly 10 months. It doesn't grow very much but it always has been happy. I think during my last water change / cleaning, I must have injured the tissue near one of the edges. (probably from moving it around to get to the glass for cleaning) Attached is a pic I took today.
My water parameters are all relatively stable. KH between 8.5 and 9.5. PH between 7.9 and 8.1. NO3 2-5 ppm and PO4 between 0 and 0.08.
Should I take it out and dip it to try to stop the spread of infection or should I just leave it be and not risk injuring it further? I don't think any of the fish are bothering it but you never know.
