I'm having trouble with 1 particular batch of clowns. They are still quite small (1/4") They keep thinning out then dying. I'm not sure what's going on as it seems to be only in 1 tank of my growout system. It also is the youngest on the system. I've tried treating with PraziPro with no luck. There is no cloudy water and the other 2000+ fish in the system are fine. It seems to be only affecting the small ones. Any ideas would be helpful. Is it possible this could be just a problem with 1 batch that was unhealthy from the start? They aren't growing well either.

Since you have 2000 fish, I'm assuming you have experience. I would ask the following questions:

Did you get a new container of food that only the problem fish are eating?


Is the food old/expired?


Is this tank getting proper circulation?


Is there stray voltage in the tank? I just found this in mine. I took a voltmeter and put the negative probe into the ground of an outlet and dipped the positive probe not my tank. It read 30 volts. I unplugged my heater and the problem was solved.


I'm just a newb, so I'm sure someone with more experience will have more ideas.

Could it be faulty equipment leaking stray voltage? Say a heater?

Sorry, no help here. Just wondering what you will do with 2000+ fish? I've got 50 and I'm worried I won't be able to get them out of my house!
