Sick Clam?

One of my clams has been losing color and looking more and more faded now for a while... any ideas?

What is the lighting situation?
I've heard of clams fading under 20K and then getting "recharged" under some 10K.
Crazy low nitrates could also be a problem..but that's unlikely () : )
I've also seen a "faded" clam that had been under a MH bulb with a cracked UV shield.

what lighting do you have?

My lighting is comprised of 2x10k MH + 2x110W Actinics.

I have trace ammounts of nitrates since I drop nori in the tank everyday for the fish.

what watt MH and how far from the light? from the pic it looks like its not getting nearly enough light

The clam is about halfway up in the tank.

how many hours a day of MH does the clam get?

is there a coral or rock over the clam blocking the light?

how long have you had the clam?

what did it look like when you got it?

Recently I seen a clam that looked similar with faded sections and generally not looking good.
When kalk was dripped at night the clam within days started to get colour again.
