I have a female clownfish that has been sick for a while. It started about two months ago, after I introduced two tangs into the aquarium, that I noticed white blotchy lines on my naked clown. The lines, on both sides of the fish, started behind the head and moved back towards the upper-half of the fish. I originally thought I had crypto in the tank and the fish got scratched from rubbing on the rock. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be that simple as the fish has never rubbed up against anything in the tank.
The white areas seemed to have spread and it appears to be eating away at the flesh of the fish. The best way to described the skin is wrinkled and just sickly looking. Certain parts of the fish seem to be degenerating as of late and it really has me worried.
The fish is still very active and eats like a pig. Yesterday the other naked clown was picking on the female quite a bit but that has since stopped. Certain fins look like they've been nipped at but not sure if this is a result of fish actually nipping at the fins or if this sickness is causing it. No other fish looks sick whatsoever and all are actively swimming and aggressively eating. Tank params are good and stable.
The two diseases that pop into my head are fin rot or brooklynella. I'm not a fish diseases expert so I've come to you all for help. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Sorry for the low quality pics. They were taken with an Iphone and a very uncooperative fish.
Any white area on the fish is not supposed to be there. It's part of the degeneration I had mentioned.
