Sick clownfishes

So on friday night i picked up a small clownfish to pair with my false perc. The new one is also a false perc around half the size of my current one. There was no aggression after a 45 minute drip and i introduced the clownfish in. They both swam around fine and even ate. Yesterday neither ate but still swam around. Today they are both on the bottom corner which is where my original one stays. They are just wiggling around and not coming around or eating. I have seen the big one lie on its side but it is getting back up. They have stringy white poo as well. My chromis and firefish are all fine and eating. What should i do? I know i should quarantine but I don't have the space for it. I got the clownfish from a reputable source and it is tank bred hoping not to run into something like this...

Well, the stringy white poo is a symptom of Flukes/internal worms. You can treat for that right in the DT with PraziPro. Might kill any tube worms though.

I thought prazipro is a chemical which is extremely strong and should only be used on fishes that aren't sick? So if i got this it would be okay to dose my entire tank with rocks?

It is an effective medicine, however you should continue to monitor the fish and see if they develop any external or visible symptoms of other diseases or parasites as well before dosing. If you do decide to add it to your display make sure to follow the instructions for dosing and do the water changes, turn off skimmer and take out carbon what not. It would be better if you could actually take the fish out and treat them in a separate tank imo (if in fact the are sick).

just my 2 cents and good luck with your clowns.

There is no source on the planet that is free of parasites; including flukes, ich, velvet, etc etc. This, or worse will happen without a QT. Sorry for the lecture.
