anyone have any ideas? this is after 5 days of Maracyn and Maracyn 2 treatemnt and day 2 of copper...any ideas?

Well it appears to be ich to me....What type of copper are you using and at what treatment level? It can take several days for the ich to go thru its life cycle. Copper will only kill the free floating stage so while it is attached to the fish copper is not effective. The ich should fall off in a day or so. If your treatment range is correct you should see results in a few days.

Not neccesarily. Copper level could be fine just that the ich has not fallen off yet. Make sure you always test the copper level before adding more. He said they have only been in copper for 2 days. My concern is it usually takes me about a week to get my copper to full treatment level......You must have done it REAL fast...

i just dosed the copper safe according to the directions. Im not sure what the copper level should be plus with the coloration of the water due to the maracyn i figured that would affect the coloration of the test results? Im only running filter floss not any carbon.

Regardless of the copper level, what is the SG and temp of the QT? Are the clowns eating and what? After two day of treatment I still think they should look better. Good luck and I hope you have two happy, healthy clowns when your done.

temp was low at 74...gonna try to slowly bump to 80 to help eradicate the ick. SG 1.024 on a swing gauge. They eat but are more finicky than usual.
Skip the hyposalinity at this point - it will take too long to be effective, and just adds stress at a time when the fish don't need that.
What copper product are you using? Coppersafe is a good preventative, but very slow to cure a case that has already started. Like RBU1 said, if you are using ionic copper, it takes time to ramp up the odse. Organically chelated coppers like coppersafe, hit it in one dose, but take longer to cure.
It should be day 4 now - if the copper was added in time, you should start to see some lessening of the spots (but not the cloudy skin).

i think they are starting to look better. My copper level was low so i stepped it up the the proper level and they seem to be looking some better. Bad news is the starry blenny I had died and I didnt even know he was sick. I kept looking at him and everything appeared fine and he was eating. So now I lost 2 out of the 4 fish. ugh. Anyways just crabs corals rock and a brittle star in the tank now until the clowns recover. They ate much better today too.
