sick Copperband

I have had this copperband for about three weeks now and he seems really happy and has been eating really well.
I know they are delicate to keep.
He is the only fish in the system and my water parameters are stable and good.
The problem is that he had a tiny growth or but of mouth damage when I first got him. Over the three weeks it has gradually grown so I assume its mouth fungus or similar......
I am going to set up a hospital tank for the him tomorrow, but I am wondering what the best medication will be?
See pic below......

It looks like lymphocystis from the pic. That is a virus with no real cure. Maintain water quality and soak its food in Vitachem and Selcon and it should go away in a couple of weeks.

The issue you will have is whether the growth will interfere with the fish eating. If so, you may have to scrape it off to keep the fish from starving.

Looks like lympho to me too. really can't tell from the pic; but if its lympho it will have the consistency of small cottage cheese. Fungal growths arr fuzzy. Usually, lympho is best left alone, but I would probably do minor surgery on this if it doesn't shrink very soon. Just hold the fish in a wet towel, snip it off, and swab with an antibiotic. (A cuticle scissors is the ideal tool, IME)
