sick flame hawk- see pics

please help me save this new and expensive{for me at least} fish.

had about a week watched it in my lfs for 2 weeks and bought it.
looked good for a week..
started looking hazey{white}
sure its not ich.

should i bother with a fw dip. or go straight into a hospital{is 2.5 g big enough its all i have right now}hawk is 2 inches. would use water from current tank

what does this look like? almost looks like flatworms? what medicine to use? copper, maracyn or other anti fungal?

havent ever run a qt tank but i think i'm going to start a 15 tall qt tank/hospital permantly

ok .. so it looks like the spots actually are alive . very similar to flatworms. not sure if its brooklynella. not very many pics of this.. mine appear very flat and white .

can they survive off the fish if i could blow them off {turkey baster} the fish seemed to enjoy it.

is it more likely the fish is more succeptible due to being new and do i have to worry about them spreading to my 3 yellowhead jaws,lawnmower, and purple pseudo?

going to the lfs to buy a cleaner wrasse ,. another intro without a qt.{maybe not the best idea}

wow...no help yet. ok no cleaner wrasse today.
did a 10 min fw dip.

my wife thought they were scales but they dont look like scales to me. looks like sea lice possibly.. any help would still be greatly appreciated..
i didnt tick of all of reef central or something? seriously ...did i?

No, his fish still HAS flukes. You can't kill Neobenedinia with one or two freshwater dips. He'll probably need to treat with praziquantel.

ok so i gather the 2.5 is good for fw dips. but i would be better off setting up the 15 tall for a qt/hospital? . can i buy the meds at lfs? do i need to worry about the other fish?

mixing water to replace water in dt that ill use to set up hospital. i take by your credentials you obviously know your stuff.

the directions make it seem like you could add to main tank as it will not kill anything but polyclad flatworms ? is this true? are there beneficial flatworms in my tank i cant see. you get the just of this line of questions....any thoughts

Sorry, I've never used Prazi-Pro (I've just used the straight powder) so your best bet would be to follow the label instructions or ask others here who have used it.
Neobenedinia is really difficult to get rid of, so you might decide that the risk of treating your main tank outweighs the problems you'll face if you don't kill it off there. It wasn't clear to me if other fish have been exposed to the parasites or not - but that will have some bearing on if you should treat your main tank or not.

i did follow the instructions. the other fish show no signs of infestation.
but than neither did the flame hawk untill a week ago.

as fas as dosing in my display tank. i have nice live rock with feather dusters,sponges, etc, stafish,amphipods. a big sebae anenome. on corals are a few green polyps and two cup corals from florida{hitchikers} . should these be ok?

i can repopulate the tank with other lr i have.

effects on coralline?

i have used the full dose on one of my reef tanks for one month now.
i have seen no immediate or short term reaction from any inhabitants.

jawfish, flame hawk, pseudochromis, copepods,amphipods, brittle stars,hermit crabs, bristleworms,tubed worms ie spaghetti& feather dusters,
sponges,tunicates, large sebae anenome, lps corals,soft corals.

i have no sps so that is the one thing i cannot comment on.
i feel that prazi pro used in correct doses is 100% reef safe.

FWIW, one of my local LFS told me that flame hawks (I think he said from Tonga) have been coming in LOADED with flukes.
