Hello,

My name is Karen and I am new to your website. I am having a problem with my Dragon Eel, over the past 48hrs he has developed these blisters that break into ulcers on his head and infront of his gils, 3 new blisters and 5 ulcers now.
He has not had his usual appetite for the past 2 - 3 months, bearly eating much. We have the tanks seviced every 2 weeks and things, chemical wise have been normal. The other fish in there are all fine, the tank is 175 gals.
He is about 5yrs old now. What can I do to cure him?
Please help! Is there an aquatic vet I could contact in Los Angeles, Ca? Many thanks,

Karen.

I might try furanase in quarantine, possibly combined with neomycin. It will kill the biofilter, but it is powerful stuff. You will need to treat for 3 to 5 days if it is not too late. Use a Qtank that the fish won't escape.
