My Hippo clam appears to be receeding into the shell. He is wide open but the "flesh" is about 1/8 down. He he doomed? Nothing has changed in the tank. I have a squam that looks perfect...

good evening bill37, can you give me some spec's on your tank. from what i read you have him in a 20 gallon,what kinda lighting do you have? have you tested your water/calcium levels? what inhabitants are in the 20 with him? a bit on the spec's of the tank will really help, hope to help you out a little bit once we get a bit more info on your setup..........

I have 130 watts pc lighting. Calc is a little low 400. There is only one fish, hawkeye, some red crabs and snails. I did notice some flat worms on the clam. Could they have done damage?
