Tonight when I got home at midnight I noticed that my mandarin didn't look right. It looks almost as if his mouth has melted away.
He was 100% fine at 3pm before I lfet from work, and even ate some of the frozen food I gave. I have no clue how this happened! He is by far my favorite fish in the tank.
Picture:
What do you think happened?
Should I quarentine him, and/or treat him? Treat him with what?
He's in a 55 gallon tank that has been running for almost 2 years.
Other tank mates are:
1 Yellow Tang
1 Coral Beauty Angelfish
1 Purple Firefish
1 Chalk Bass
5 blue legged hermits
10 various snails
1 tube anemone
1 leather coral
several types of mushrooms
and several types of star poylps
I feel so bad for him. He is not acting any different than he normall does, he's swimming about as content as possible.
