Sick, my beautiful True perk momma went to the carpet

Found my beautiful true perk female laying on the carpet this morning all dried up, her man is taking care of her last nest of eggs.
I am so broken hearted.
Can someone tell me what I need to get to replace her, do I need a larger one now for the male, or a smaller one for him and will he turn female?
So sad, I loved that beautiful fish.
Here she is.

I'm really sad for you. That is a terrible thing to happen. If it were me I'd get a fairly decent sized juvenile who would become a male. I bleieve that in nature this is the natural way of things and I don't know how quickly a male in this situation would turn into a female. Finally, you know that the existing male recognizes this as a place to reproduce and it may be a little faster to more eggs if you add a "male" for "her."

Thanks both of you. I have been so sad over her loss all day, there is nothing like finding a loved fish laying dead on the carpet to ruin your day.
Don't know why she jumped. I have moon lights on the tank so it was'nt dark at all if she got scared, and she always sleeps under her anemone by her eggs.

I will see what I can do to get a small perk for him/her/
I know he is lost without her so he needs a friend.
Does anyone know where I can get one fast?
I got the from reefermadness but the 150.00 minimum buy I dont want to have to do right now.

What I did was just allow the male to become female and stay alone for a while, then get a smaller individual. Sorry for your loss. I lost my 12 year old female ocellaris year. It is certainly heartbreaking.

Great plan. Right now I am talking to someone on getting a larger female, but not sure if its the right thing to do or not.
Sorry for you loss. They are like our kids arent they!

She is the first fish that I have lost that I have actually cried over.
I have only lost two other fish, not clowns tho to jumping in the 8+ years I have been in saltwater.
I will sure miss her, she was a true lady, never fought with her mate and was very sweet to me, never biting when I had my hands in the tank.

I would wait a while to let your male become female, then look for a smaller juvie to play the male role.
