Picked these up at Coral Reef Farm yesterday! I have to give Jeff and David HUGE, HUGE props for these!!! These are some of the nicest LPS i have seen in the county since i've been in the hobby. I almost wet myself when i walked in and saw them. I've been giddy looking at them for the last 24 hours, lol!!! Unfortunately, i dont have room left for the other really nice lps they got in.

My camera doesnt do either of them justice but here they are!

Green and orange Acan Maxima(i believe). I know they are rare but the second i saw them i thought they were Maxima's. They are REALLY nice and fat!!

HUGE acan Lord colony. Its about 75-90 heads and they are REALLY nice. I immediately thought they were aussie by the color. I have NEVER seen a whole colony this big or nice around town, much less for this cheap!!! The colors are insane, as nice as any indo acan i have seen. It looks exactly like the common aussie morph that websites are selling for $25-50 a head! They are too far back in my tank and cant get a decent pic:mad:

Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for the green/orange acan?
one million cheeseburgers LOL

Unfortunately, my best friend is having a b-day party for BOTH his kids in Miami from 12-2 so i probably wont make the swap:( Bummer!

I don't usually like to tell prices but i paid $150 for each. I can't decide which was the better deal but they were both STEALS imo:D

The pictures don't do them justice at all. They are so nice, they are the type you forget to ask how much they are before you say you'll take them.

HOPEFULLY, you guys can see them in person at the tank hop in November(hint, hint Chris!)!

Some guy on the selling thread sent me some rics...he also included an orange / green acan with about 6-7 heads for $45... I guess i made out like a thief on that one! lol.

hummmmmm
7=45
14-90
28-135

That one close tto 60 heads just at a glance.

That 1st green and orange one is about the size of my fist. The polyps are about 5 times bigger than the biggest acan lord polyp that i have.

It is either Acan Maxima or Acan Bowerbanki(i believe) not acan lord or echinata which is what you probably have. It has like 5 polyps and is the same size as my echinata colonies that have 30-40 polyps.

Lou phoenix, is yours something like one of these? Even still, a good deal for $45!

Here's a better pic where you can see the size of it. The echinatas are to the left of it and the new lord colony is behind it.

I gotta say, they look like maximas to me. :)

SWEET! I was almost starting to doubt myself but i'll go with chris's guess and stick with Maxima's!:D

Chris,
Are you gonna be at the swap meet? Hopefully, i'll be there right before the end. I wanted to see if i could get my membership card and get you the $10 i owe you for the family membership.

Yes, I'll be there

Acan maximas are really hard to tell, I thot I had one and it turned out to be a scoly. You should ask the guys on the lps forum, they are total freaks for that kind of stuff. lol No matter what it is, its really pretty.

Thanks for the compliments!

I asked in LPS but opinions were mixed. The guesses were Maxima, lobo or Bowerbanki I'd say it's either Maxima or Bowerbanki but i cant get a good pic.

I was trying to get a good pic of the skeleton when i bought it but the whole time i had it out of the bag and acclimating, the polyps stayed fairly inflated and i couldn't get a pic of the skeleton:confused:

I don't usually care about an id as long as i know what the coral needs but i gotta admit it would be nice to have a Maxima! No matter what it is, it's nice and I freaking LOVE it!
