Siganus guttatus

That is typical of the species, but they get HUGE and they grow real fast. They can have a tendancy to eat some corals too.

Good to know, dflad. Thanks.

Mrs. Kung is allowing me to purchase a "bigger ticket" fish for my belated Father's Day present.

I assume I'm allowed to keep it under $100. I thought he would be cool, but I may have to think further about this guy.

I've got one I'd like to give away if you were local. Eats tons of fish food (like a basketball player blocking out for rebounds when I feed), never touches rock. Doesn't swim around much as pretty shy. From up close very pretty, from a little further away doesn't stand out at all. I previously had majestic rabbit i liked much better. I'm going to send him back to the minors once i get my fish trap.

Nope, don't know how nor really want to. I think I'll just give him back to the guy who sold him to me.

Here's a pic behind my fowleri

I love this fish. It never touched any of my corals and ate a ton (nori, pe meisis, and flake foods). I never thought it blended in with my tank and in fact always was facinated by his coloration. He unfortunately died in a bad storm that knocked out all my power. I know it says to add in a reef aquarium with caution, however I have never seen these fish do any damage to corals (in fact my LFS recommends them in reef aquariums). Of course every fish is different. You can buy a fish that is completely reef safe that will go to town on your corals and one that is not reef safe that won't touch them. I have a one-spot foxface that made it through the storm, and he also doesn't even give a second thought to my corals.
