I am from Colorado

During the last few years of college I worked at Denizens of the Deep fish store in Fort Collins Colorado which is where my love for the hobby started. Unfortunately when I went back to Colorado a few months ago the store has changed dramatically and now sells video games with fish.

Now I live in Menasha and have been here for 3 years.

i am in manitowoc, so attendance to meetings would prolly be low. just curious though...have any fvrc members been to F&S in rhinelander? how is the selection of livestock there?
thanks

Welcome aboard hartlaubsreef and Cujolax18!! Glad to have you.

have any fvrc members been to F&S in rhinelander? how is the selection of livestock there?

We've all been there several times. The livestock in the retail store is OK (as good or better than most LFS's, but the aquaculture facility is incredible!! The aquaculture facility is where they have the Liveaquaria divers den items, all the cultured corals, several fish, nems, clams, etc... Thanks to a FVRC member (sunfish - Lisa) last year our club got full access to the facility to pick out and buy anything we saw. It was great. I believe Lisa is setting another trip for this coming year.

The meetings we have are pretty fun and a great place to come talk about reefkeeping. There is quite a diverse group of people. Some with small systems some with quite large systems. I'm sure at some point each of you'll aquire a Red bubble tipped anemone. There was a RBTA (originally from Gooch) that kept splitting and the clones were splitting and on and on. Eventually nearly every member got their hands on a RBTA becuase they divided so much (now we all seem to have several). Many people from the FVRC sell them for $20-$30 because they reproduce so fast - it's not very often you can get a RBTA for $30!! (Liveaquaria sells them for $150)

Usually before each meeting we'll start a thead with different goods and frags we have for sale or trade. There is always plenty of diversity and lots of stuff available.

The club is great. Come to some meetings, introduce yourself, and have a good time.

The toughest part about some of the meetings is getting to know who is who. We all know each other on line from our RC name and it sometimes gets a bit confusing to put the person with the name, but in time you'll get to know each of us.

Look forward to meeting you.

Jeremy

I could probably use a red bubble tipped anemone. I need to make some room however.

Anyone interested in some medium sized rocks with Large Green Button Polyps?

Trade/Buy/Something

I will have pictures of my tank in the near future

Hello everyone. I would like to join the club, not sure what I need to do. I have been in this hobby for about 5-6 years. Look forward to meeting and learning from everyone.
