Hello all.

I just moved up to Northern Door County from Chicago early this year. I bought a restaurant and left the Sheriffs Dept...anyway, I just got my tank back from my mothers house were it was sitting running but with no livestock. So I am glad to see there is a club in the area, as I was a member of the Chicago area club and I enjoyed it. I would really like to join, if someone could email or pm me with some info I would be grateful.

Thanx and hope to hear back.

Welcome Officerbogus!
The FVRC is a very laid-back group of N.E.W reefers that meet monthly to show off our tanks, diagnose each others problems, and do a lot of socializing. We are just now exploring adding a web page for the group (see the recent posts) to help answer questions and increase communication in general.
There are no membership fees and we will have to come up with some sort of initiation procedure for you so we can have an initiation procedure of some sort (maybe restarting someone's siphon tube???).
Our next meeting seems to be up in the air due maybe to the holidays, but someone has already started a thread for a January meeting.
Jump aboard the threads and chime in as you feel the need. Show up at the meetings and you in. I'll get a committee working on that initiation thingy.
Welcome!

Don't worry, they all start out blah and then grow into something spectacular. Either that, or you'll get frustrated to no end and the tank will wind up at a garage sale for twenty bucks. Welcome! :D

Hey I would like to join. Just tell me where and when the meetings are.

I can also host however I live up in Crivitz, about an hour and half north from the Fox Valley. I am used to driving all over the planet.

Another thing, I am like an hour and half from DrsFoster and Smith and I go there a couple times a month. So if anyone needed anything I would be happy to pick it up when I go and save you the shipping, if you do business with them. They have a sale on IO and Reef Crystals right now. I got the 160 gallon RC mix for $31.99!

Welcome. The next meeting is in Appleton there is a post on it in our club forum. The time has not been firmed up yet.

Welcome Aboard!

Just keep your eyes on the message boards! it will tell you when and where for the meetings as well as let you know whena group buy is being planned. The January meeting (we usually meet monthly) is down in the Valley on the 28th I believe. Anyway check the forum posting it will tell you all you need to know about the meeting, any frags that are available, etc.
The club in general is a very casual group of reefkeepers who like to get together and check out each others tanks . A little breeze is shot along the way also.
No dues, no officers, no worries! We are just to the pint of talking about a website.
Welcome again!

We are just to the pint of talking about a website.

And, being Wisconsin, there is the potential for some beer-drinking along the way as well. There are some of us who seem to have it 'on the mind'. :D

Critivitz is only an hour and a half north? That's not too shabby...

Welcome Rhodesholar and thanks for the Dr FS offer, I can see some of us taking you up on that in the near future!

There'll be some pints lifted tonight starting at Jim's Place on the Ave in Appleton proceeding East til I find my car!

Welcome Lostdragon!
Just check out the meeting thread and show up at the meeting and you are in. We are more than a little informal! As for an initiation ceremony, well we will think of something at the meeting. I am sure that Scott still has some hole saws left from the last initiation.
Welcome aboard (teehee another victim guys)
