Silence 1073.040

I'm setting up a new 40 gallon rimless cube. Dimensions are 24x24x18. It's a LeeMar tank with a reef-ready center overflow. My sump will be approximately 10-15 gallons.

My question is whether the Tunze Silence 1073.040 will have enough strengh to run return from the sump with enough flow to provide the majority of the movement in the tank, assisted by one nano Stream. What say you?

I hope Roger will take a look at this question, but I'd be happy to hear from any who have experience with this pump.

If you are pumping up 4-5 ft as would be the norm, the flow will be about 400-500gph. With a 6055 Nano Stream it is probably enough.

I have this pump on my 50 gallon cube, probably about 3.5 feet of vertical travel to make it through the returns. I get good turnover and pressure. Pump is totally silent, never fails to start, and has caused me no problems in over 6 months of use.
