Silicon grease?

Is it ok to use 90% pure non toxic silicon grease on o-rings? I have tried to find 100% pure, but everywhere I went only has 90% pure.

I think some of the RO/DI vendors also sell a safe vegetable based lube for use on the O-rings on the cansiters.

I've never had any negative effect from using silicone grease purchased from Ace hardware or local scuba diving shop. The grease definitely prolong the life of the O-rings.
