siliconing dry rock to glass

Was over to a local members house a week or so back, and he had a pretty nice setup. Also had used silicone to attach some LR to the back glass Almost made a 'floating' type of rock. looked very sharp. Anyone else ever do this? What type of silicone? Regular DAP silicone or would somehting like this be better?

Yeah. Just use regular 100% silicone. I did the same thing. I have an acrylic tank. Had a glass place cut glass and made the panels to wrap around the overflow. I use my pumps to magnetize the panels to the acrylic. Worked out great and I can easily remover them if needed

I used 100% silicone from the hardware store and made sure It had plenty of time to cure before adding water. It was the best way I could find to make use of the vertical space In my 90 gallon tank. Its been wet a month or two shy of two years and shows no sign of coming loose from the glass. Hoping to get a filter soon so I can share better pictures
