I currently have a pair of Ocellaris clowns in my 20gallon nano reef. They are hosting in my feather dusters crown. very funny to watch, the worm will sometimes retract and the clowns will just hover nearby. I gotta get a picture next time the worm is out.
Anyway I have my new 90 Gallon cycling now, and eventually my clowns will move to the bigger tank, I have never kept an anemone before, and I know to wait for the tank to mature, but I am concerned that my only other current fish, an Orangespoted Goby and his pistol shrimp buddy, could get into trouble with an anemone.
My clowns are very docile, The goby was my first Saltwater fish, He had the nano tank all to himself at one time and he can be defensive if the clowns get to close to his cave, but no fighting just some "get off my lawn" sort of attitude.
So My question is would a BTA be dangerous to my Goby and Shrimp friend? Or any of the other fish i plan to add to the 90? Fish i'm looking into and researching are a Royal Gramma, a Mandarin(i'm adding a fuge for pods) maybe some chromis, damsels, 6line wrasse and possibly a brown scopas tang(i hear they are one of the smaller tangs that are ok with a 4 foot tank.)
Because it seems my silly clowns will display hosting behavior in anything they can cuddle into, there may be safer options if the BTA is too much of a risk to othe rfish and corals.
Thanks for any input
