tank looks awesome. How are the clowns doing with a large group in the there? seems like they are all taking over two specific nems. and not spreading out

yeah they are at one end of the tank to each other and then 2 hosting a cat

i think to get them all to mix i will need more nems which im working on

Yea it really is silent and full surface skimming

If I did it again is do 2 x 6mm instead of the 1 bit of 12mm


Just need more nems and a bit more maturity in the system


Current is 10% water change weekly have a bit of alage issues. Could do with somthing to turn the sand over

i have shifted the rock work around to maximize the sanded area to house these and some other nems im working on

I have been reading through the forums a while ago and saw this thread and saw someone say something about keeping a lot of clowns together would be difficult.

I went to an aquarium the other day and saw something that instantly made me take a picture and i thought i would share it with you

I didn't think it was possible to have a clown only tank, but this thread and the aquarium have proven me wrong!

And Benjamin. Unless that tank is huge, those look like juvenile clowns. Wait till they mature and start to get really aggressive.

The tank isn't very big, i wouldn't like to be the guy who does maintenance on that tank once they hit maturity!

Everything still going well.

Might upgrade the skimmer. Water changes are around 20% every 10 days.

Nitrates are around 5ppm



I'm thinking of adding a mature pair of commons into the mix that I have in the sump


I'm not sure if this has been tried or not. My thinking is adding a adult pair should stop a dominant pair changing in there

And with 30 in there the aggression from this adults should be shared.

Anyone tried this or thoughts
