Got this guy a short time ago. I think it is a simplex. The main branches are quite flat.

I'm guessing A. Elegans. Wide flat branches near the base and outward tabling-type growth is more characteristic of that coral. Nice find, it looks sweet!

Yep, more of an elegans or possibly a chunk of Lokani since its a maricultured piece, it could of been chunked from the middle part of the main colony. Saying that Ben, I have seen a few more elegans in the last 6 months than in the last couple of years.

Thanks for the info Mark. I checked out AIMS and COTW and I'd have to agree with you guys. Years back Tropical Paradise had a piece that Eddie was calling simplex, so that is what I was going on. I think it's a very unique looking coral.

:) Now Eddie is on the other side of it where he is collecting and exporting them in for us.

Yeah, I saw him a month or two ago at this little chinese restaurant in Oakland. He said he was getting ready to go back out there. I didn't talk to him much about coral. He was with his family. I think this piece is indo. Got it from reef science. I think that's where he's at.
