Singapore angel

I am considering on getting a Singapore angel and I am looking for some advice from people who own this species. It is a beautiful fish but I have read that it is very shy. I don’t want to have a fish I will never see. Can someone who owns this species share with me their behavioral patterns and show some pix or vids of this fish? Thanx in advance.

Great fish. The one I had before trading him in was really bold. I guess he was an exception. They are pretty fish and are really hardy from what I have seen.

I've had two different ones. Both only lasted 2 months. The first one was in my 44 gal. and wasn't QT'd, never ate and hid all the time and probably starved to death. I had this fish in the begining of my SW experience.

The second one was eatting live blackworms at the LFS. I QT'd him for a month and he was eatting flakes, frozen mysis & brine. But after a month in my display he one day stopped eatting and was dead in a day.

I have read that they aren't easy to get to eat, so be certain that it eats at the LFS. But apparently that doesn't always mean it will survive.

Here is what he looked like in QT.

Definitely one of my favorite fish.
