Single 6155 on 7096

I'm just asking before I throw this in my tank. But can a 7096 controller control a single pump 6155? I feel like I read somewhere that this could not be done.

I wouldnt see why not, the 7095 and 7096 should be able to control 1-4 pumps. More if you use the y adapter

It can, but if this is a new 6155 with the built in 7090, you would not gain anything over the built in 7090 controller. The only way the 7096 would have an advantage is the additional modes which require multiple pumps to coordinate the effect.

It only has the control to adjust the flow. I just want the pump to turn off and on so its not a constant flow .

You could do that, or pulse it between two speeds, but if you don't plan to add more pumps, the 7092 can also do that for less money.

Over the years I've accumulated stuff . And I have these two items laying around so I just want to see how my tank looks with the added flow. Thank you guys for all your help.
