Sinularia frag help

Hey Guys! I recently acquired a very nice Sinularia frag. the problem that I am having is that its attached to a nice rock, but the the rock has green bubble algae on it, and I really don't want to put it in my display because I'm affraid that I will introduce the algea. I've worked very hard to keep my system free of such algae, among anything else.
Does anyone have any ideas? Is there a way to erradicate the bubble algae from the rock its on in my frag tank, or should I try to attach the coral to a new rock that doesn't have any bubble algae?
The frag itself is decent size. Its about 5 inches tall with several "branches", and the base of the coral that is attached to the (unwanted) rock is about 1 inch wide.
I was thinking about possibly trying to frag it, but if anyone else could please chime in on this, I would really appreciate it!
Thank you all

I would just fill up a bucket full of tank water and place the coral in there. Use your fingers and try to remove as many of the bubbles as you can. After that, take a wire brush and scrub those areas until there's absolutely nothing left. (bare rock) You shouldn't have any problems after that. Other than fragging the coral and taking it completely off that rock, which can be a little risky sometimes, I don't know how else to get rid of that bubble algae. HTH.

Those don't always work. It was more trouble than it was worth in my experience. The zoanthids started to look bad.

Best thing to do is slice it off the unwanted rock at the base if you dont want to risk introducing the BA into the tank. All you need is another piece of LR and a rubberband to hold it in place for a couple weeks.
