Sinularia necrosis

A large sinularia coral has been looking rather droopy and not opening properly for the past few days. Today I had a better look at it and noticed that a section of it was rotting away.

I cut it away as well as possible and have managed to keep about 2/3 of the coral. I have also dosed some iodine in the water. All my other corals in the tank seem unaffected.

Do you think the leather will recover, could it spread to other corals in the tank.

Whats your salinity like? Has it shifted lately? I've noticed my sinu's don't tolerate lower salinity, or salinity shifts as well as most leathers.

Well I have had to cut more of it away today, as I noticed one of the two large frags was getting worse. The other seems fine.

I'll check my salinity now, I did a large water change the week before so it's possible the salinity shifted.
