Siphon Overflow idea

I'm thinking about adding a sump/refugium and a place for my coralife super skimmer 65 (that thing is huge compared to the tank) to my 10g nano reef, keeping it cheap, might this work, its a dish scrubber that holds soap, anyone do this before?

Do what before? Take apart a dish scrubber? I've done that.

How are you going to keep a siphon going with that? Just give that thing back to your wife.
