Six line wrasse eating polyps?

I added a six line yesterday and I noticed that the polyps on my birdsnest are missing/ not extended in weird patches on the branches. I was wondering if you guys think that it my be the culprit?

Mine picks at things, but I have never seen him do anything more than irritate the coral.

He helped me finish off the flatworm/redbug issues.

I really doubt he's eating the polyps. Pests yes. Polyps very unlikely.

I just put a sixline in my tank and it is nipping at my birdsnest polyps.

I have one that after a year started to pick on my large birds nest colony. First patches formed then after a while whole tissue from branches would be gone. The colony was healthy as it would show polyp extension at night but never during the day. I tried to save it by putting it on a fish only quarantine but it never made it out.

Also add that the six line saved me from red bugs and aefw, so hesitant to remove it. I just won't keep a birds nest.

I have a huge Panope in my tank and he has been seen pecking at things but never damaged the coral. Milage may vary I guess.
