So I just looked at my tank and my little six line wrasse is now swimming sideways and vertically. Doesnt show any signs of disease or distress, all other fish are fine. He was never bullied or harassed by the other fish, eats fine. He was fine this morning. Water is good, temp is good. Ive had the little guy for about three weeks, he was at the LFS for over a month. Fat and happy other wise.

Any ideas on whats going on?

Thats what I was thinking, I have no space for a quarantine unfortunately I know thats risky.
What would cause swim bladder issues? He was at the LFS for over a month and with me for almost a month so I think I can rule out cyanide...
Dont know what would cause this suddenly.

What was the salinity difference between LFS water and your tank? I've had fish develop similar problems when the difference was too great, in spite of slow acclimation. Another benefit of QT is that you can match salinity to that of the LFS so acclimation is quick.

Not sure what the SG was at the LFS, mine is 1.024. I do buy my water from them though and this is a pretty steady reading for my tank. I did just top off though right before this started. Added about a gallon of RO. Its water change weekend though so maybe a water change will help. Again, hes still eating, still swimming funny though. Maybe he can recover, hopefully.
